Meet the Artist

I’m Faye, the artist behind Pet Stitch Studio.

My journey into pet embroidery began with a love of animals and a fascination with capturing the little details that make each one so wonderfully unique. From the expression in their eyes to the texture of their coat and the personality that shines through in a photograph, I love translating those details into something created entirely by hand.

Working from my home studio, I’m surrounded by my own three companions — Ripley and Willow, my cats, and Phoebe, my dog. They are a constant source of inspiration and a daily reminder of the joy, character and companionship animals bring into our lives.

Each portrait begins with your photograph and is carefully considered stitch by stitch. I use 100% cotton fabric and DMC embroidery thread, selecting colours and textures to capture the individuality of your companion and create a piece that feels truly personal.

Before becoming an embroidery artist, I worked as a dog groomer. That experience gave me a trained eye for the subtle details that make every animal distinctive — the direction of their fur, the shape of an ear, the expression in their eyes and the character in their face.

Creating a portrait is a slow and considered process, often taking 70 hours or more to complete. It is this time, craftsmanship and attention to detail that allows every piece to be completely one of a kind.

Whether created to celebrate a beloved companion, mark a special moment or simply bring their character into your home, each portrait is made to be enjoyed for years to come, a timeless piece of art inspired by an animal who means so much to you.
